To visit
- The stupendous ramparts walls were the third and last that the republic was built between 1504 and 1645 and never use them for defense. Still intact, are one of the military works most beautiful in Tuscany. In the basement there is a path where they are visible archaeological phases of construction of the temple.

- Santi Giovanni e Reparata (XII century) built on existing places of worship.
- Piazza S. Martin, a charming medieval setting of the Cathedral is also dedicated to St. Martin (XI-XIII) is the most important religious monument in the city, rich in works of art, including the tomb of Ilaria del Carretto, a masterpiece by Jacopo della Quercia (1408).

- Via Guinigi, one of the most picturesque streets of Lucca, with the houses on either side of Guinigi.
- The National Museum of Villa Guinigi works of art produced for the city, in the garden and medieval archaeological finds are on display including a mosaic II cent. d.C.
- Piazza S. Michele, the heart of city life in the Roman forum.
- The church of S. Michele in Foro began in 1070. Within the numerous works of art.
- The National Gallery is housed in Palazzo Mansi with paintings ranging from the Renaissance to the top of the thirteenth century.
- The church of S. Roman (XIII).
- The church of S. Alexander (sec. XI_XII).
- Via Fillungo, with houses and tower houses a typical medieval appearance and is the main axis of the ancient city.
- S. Frediano (1112-47) church rich in works of art.
- The Market Square (1830) built in the Roman amphitheater (II century AD) which are still visible in some parts.
